Internationally leading safety shoe and workwear producer ISM has won the coveted Red Dot Award for the first time, placing the company among the recipients of this prominent international design award for its Puma Safety brand.
The Red Dot Award is one of the most prestigious accolades of quality design that is awarded in around 50 different categories to the best producers and designers from around the world among the products entered into the competition. A jury made up of 50 international experts evaluates each submission and awards the Red Dot to those products which truly stand out for quality of their design.
Entries are considered for the award based on criteria including degree of innovation and functionality, ergonomics and durability as well as ecological factors. The “Red Dot” award has established itself as one of the most coveted seals of quality for good design.
The new “Touring Black” unisex safety shoe from the Puma Safety brand stands out in its sector not just for its design, but also for its top class functionality and quality. The entire Moto Protect range features a directly injected PU midsole that optimally absorbs impacts along the entire length of the foot. The integrated MTSP Torsion Control Element increases stability across the length of the foot and promotes a dynamic walking motion. The Evercushion® Plus high-performance footbed protects against shocks, guarantees long-lasting comfort and can withstand the demands of daily wear.
The rounded and elevated heel area of the outsole (“drivers heel”), the inner lacing, non-slip PU sole and “MTSP” lettering together lend the shoe its motorsport-inspired look. The base of the sole also features inspiration from the world of motorsport. The profile of the Moto Protect series resembles tire tread.
