TOWORKFOR – Safety/work footwear brand 100% Portuguese, produced by AMF Safety Shoes – took the symbolism of the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FORESTS to present its sustainability project – “TOWORKFOR THE PLANET” – and its future environmental goals.

Broadly speaking, the goals are to reduce (at least):
25% OF WASTE PRODUCTION
50% OF CARBON EMISSIONS
BOTH UNTIL 2025.
The brand promises to involve all departments in this environmental mission, going through all the stages of footwear design: from development, to production, packaging and distribution.


These ambitious goals represent an anticipation of 5 years to the environmental targets of the footwear industry, defined recently in the Green Pact of APICCAPS, of which the AMF and TOWORKFOR, are also part.
To mark this ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT, the brand launches today the Video Manifesto “OUR PLANET, OUR JOB” (www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JjODSw34-4), as well as the project’s official webpage (toworkfor.pt/en/theplanet). In addition, the brand has prepared a Marketing Action for its main distributors with an example of what it intends to do: a floor mat produced with more than 50% recycled and reused PU, raw material that would be wasted in the production of TOWORKFOR work shoes.
