Tilsatec announced today that it is to partner with Koroyd to deliver their innovative two step damage control system in a groundbreaking new range of impact protection products.

As manufacturers of hand, arm and body protection specialising in cut protection Tilsatec have built a reputation for delivering high performance PPE to those working in high hazard environments all around the world. The company recognised that impact protection is a category that customers have been looking for innovation in for some time and a new approach was required to deliver more protection and improved comfort.
Koroyd has engineered an enhanced reinforced elastomer to absorb and redirect the force of impacts which instantly returns to form for repeat performance. Born from aerospace science they have developed their existing patented and proven technology to design a new ultralightweight high performance solution which can achieve ANSI/ISEA 138-2019 level 3.
Tilsatec and Koroyd are joining forces to reduce forces with a premium range of back of hand impact protection. The technology and partnership will be unveiled for the first time at A+A International Trade Fair & Congress in Dusseldorf, October 26 – 29th 2021. As the largest international trade fair in the calendar, it’s the pinnacle event for those in Health & Safety.
“We didn’t want to venture into this category unless we could offer wearers a significant step change in performance, comfort and design. By partnering with Koroyd we can do just that, and we’re proud to bring it to the EMEA market. It’s tremendously exciting to be working with the team at Koroyd, delivering real innovation in a line of products not seen in impact protection before”. said Tilsatec’s Managing Director Ben Griffiths.
Koroyd hand protection technology consists of a highly engineered, softer elastomer formulation that has advanced mechanical properties. The Koroyd elastomer is enhanced due to the Koroyd reinforcement layer. The addition of the Koroyd layer not only adds structural reinforcement to the elastomer which improves overall performance, but it also redirects energy and helps to dissipate the force in a second step not available in other protection.
“From our very first discussions with Tilsatec, it was clear that their team is dedicated to delivering advanced protective solutions which reduce the risk of injury and improve daily experience in the industrial workplace. As such there was a very natural fit between our companies and a strong platform from which to introduce Koroyd’s latest glove innovation which provides the thinnest ANSI Level 3 performance, increasing flexibility and minimising hand fatigue” said Koroyd Founder and Managing Director John Lloyd.
