Did you know that in the past in order to install a permanent fall protection system on an industrial roof from the outside, it was necessary to dismantle the roof covering, but this is no longer the case?
A total of 250 metres of the new Rothoblaas permanent fall protection system was installed on the roof of a large company in Porto. OVERNET, the new fixed fall protection safety net was assembled completely from the outside and fixed to the sheet metal without stopping the activities inside the production building.
Industrial roofs, safety and photovoltaic systems
The surfaces of industrial roofs, which are usually very large, are often used for installing photovoltaic systems. This is the case at a construction site in the city of Porto, where the roof was made completely safe precisely to allow installers and maintainers of solar panels to work without risk.
The breakable translucent roof panels were protected with OVERNET, which can be installed in both pitch directions and is designed for industrial roofing with trapezoidal metal sheet or trapezoidal sandwich panels.
