Again this year, the renowned manufacturer of safety shoes and workwear ISM won the internationally important design label “iF Design Award 2020” with its brands ALBATROS and PUMA SAFETY. By winning this award ISM is once again demonstrating its innovative power and its high level of competence in the development of athletic, modern and marketable shoe design.
The iF Design Award is presented once a year by the world’s oldest independent design institution, the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover. An independent jury of 78 international design experts assessed the 7,298 submissions from a total of 56 countries and awarded the coveted seal to selected and design-oriented products.
The ALBATROS AER55 IMPULSE BLACK BLUE LOW safety shoe from the well-known and established safety shoe line “dual.IMPULSE” stands out with its new upper out of 3D-SafetyKnit®, which consists of a highly breathable and extremely resistant textile fabric in contrasting colors. Due to seamless processing, the AER55 adapts to the wearer’s foot just like a sock, ensuring a perfect fit. The color-combinations black-blue and blue-orange look notably sporty and underline the modern appearance of the safety shoes. Color-contrasting loops on the tongue and heel facilitate donning and add another design element. Just like the AER55 lettering on the inside, which completes the dynamic look of the athletic safety shoe.
Next to the ALBATROS model, the safety shoe CHARGE GREEN LOW from the PUMA SAFETY line MOTION CLOUD won the renowned design label. The new safety shoe line was first presented at the international trade fair A+A in November 2019. With a seamlessly applied upper of SafetyKnit®, a highly flexible textile fabric, which looks like a modern running shoe, it feels like a second skin to the wearer. TPU reinforcements in the toe, heel and laces area add extra security and protect against excessive wearing. The lime-colored stripes placed next to the lacing give the look an additional dynamic. The IMPULSE.FOAM sole in two colors also supports the athletic look and evokes a “feeling like walking on clouds”.
The ALBATROS AER55 safety shoes are available from selected specialist retailers and online-shops. The MOTION CLOUD models of PUMA SAFETY will follow in summer 2020.
