Amblers Safety women’s brand ambassador Sophie Lydia Smith and engineer and property developer Daryl Perkins recently celebrated their wedding day. The couple held their beautiful wedding reception in the historic surroundings of Hilles House in Painswick. Family business, Footsure Western Ltd who design and distribute Amblers Safety, surprised the happy couple at their spectacular reception venue with a unique gift.
Top 50 Women UK Engineers, Mrs Sophie Lydia Perkins collaborates with Amblers Safety to design footwear with an exclusive fit for women. Aiming to raise awareness of the skills shortage facing STEM industries, Mrs Perkins aspires to change perceptions and encourage young women to consider construction and engineering as a viable and rewarding career.
The family business surprised the happy couple at their champagne reception with a rare one-off ‘his and hers’ bride and groom pair of protective safety shoes! Delighted Mrs Perkins and her new husband couldn’t wait to try on the one of its kind ‘Just Married’ boots in the grand palace yurt.
Mrs Perkins says, “Daryl and I were so impressed with the lengths that Footsure Western went to, to create a very unique and special wedding gift! We will cherish them forever, I think it sums me up well, feminine but also tough. A little bow and a safety boot must be a first right!?”
Amblers Safety will be launching the new Sophie Collection at the world’s leading fair for safety, security and health at work, A+A on 5th-8th November.
