Quality and new trends – these of the characteristics of the Albatros and Puma Safety brands from ISM. The company has already released two new safety shoes lines to the market in 2021 – further new releases and a textile collection are planned.

Albatros and Puma Safety Release New and Innovative Products

At the start of the year, ISM launched the attractive new Albatros Dynamic Line range of safety shoes that includes three safety class S3 models and four S1P models.
Dynamic Line shoes are based on a wear-resistant, impact-cushioning DUO-PU sole that impresses with its exceptional flexibility and non-slip properties. The sole profile features wide flex grooves and profile elements of various designs that provide for outstanding grip on a range of different surfaces – especially industrial floors.

A soft PU midsole optimally cushions the high forces experienced when taking steps and is thus a perfect combination of stability and flexibility.
All models in the range feature FAP puncture protection made from non-metallic materials. The FAP® midsole offers the wearer more comfort, flexibility, insulation, moisture absorption and impact cushioning.

In ensure the safety shoes adapt optimally to the wearer’s feet, Dynamic Line shoes feature an anatomically shaped footbed made of soft EVA. The shock-absorbing properties of this material help protect joints, muscles and bones. All models are metal-free and feature a roomy fiberglass toe cap with a low weight.

The Puma Safety brand is also seeing two new additions to its range this year.
The Moto Protect line, recipient of the Red Dot Design Award (Tourism Black Mid model), combines maximum comfort with a sporty look thanks the purposeful use of design elements from the world of motorsports.
The new models impress with their absolute comfort thanks to the Duo-PU sole and cushioning midsole. The integrated MTSP Torsion Control Element provides optimum stability and active drive. The Drivers Heel of the shoes support the foot’s natural rolling motion.
Complete safety without any metal parts is achieved using a fiberglass toe cap and flexible FAP puncture protection. All models with a tall shaft also feature an Ankle Protect Element. The series consist of eight different models in the S3 safety class, two of which additionally conform to American Standard ASTM F2413 to protect against electrical shocks up to 18,000 volts (electrical hazard).

The well established Motion Protect line from Puma Safety is being expanded to include new models specially designed for the female foot. These will be launched in September 2021. Women’s shoe lasts designed specially for this range of shoes guarantee an optimal fit for female feet. The use of new materials ensures comfortable impact absorption with the same dynamism and stability. Motion Protect Wns models are therefore the perfect symbiosis of shock absorption, energy return and design.
The core of this sporty safety shoe range is formed by the 3D Triple Density cushioning concept using the intelligent Impulse.Foam sole technology that reacts to every step you take with a pulse of energy, returning up to 55% of the energy of the step back to the wearer. It additionally provides cushioning, excellent stability and long-lasting comfort. The anti-slip HRO rubber sole is heat-resistant up to 300 °C and is inspired by the latest technologies used in trainers while also ensures optimum contact with the ground (SRC).

Demand from partners and retail means that the development of especially sustainable safety shoes is also being pursued.

“We are currently working on safety shoes made from recycled materials. These shoes must of course be just as capable and long-lasting as our products made from non-recycled materials”

says Michael Rolfe, Head of Product Development & Quality for Safety Shoes at ISM.

An additional Albatros line with an entirely new and innovative sole concept for the safety shoe sector is also soon to be released.
