Acoustic instrumentation specialist, Cirrus Research, will be launching their brand-new cloud-based noise monitoring solution at the Autosport Engineering exhibition in Birmingham between the 9th – 10th January.

The new Quantum noise monitoring solution is an advanced piece of acoustic technology that has been designed in conjunction with some of the UK’s biggest theatres and entertainment venues to ensure that employees are appropriately protected against exposure to excessive noise levels. Factories, workshops and offices across industries ranging from manufacturing and engineering to automotive, also stand to benefit from Quantum.
“the new Quantum noise monitoring solution is an advanced piece of acoustic technology”
Cloud connectivity means that Quantum instantly sends all noise data directly to an online account, where it can be viewed and analysed remotely from any location and device. Users are able to examine historical measurement data and calculate dose, LCPeak and Leq values, as well as download their data into Cirrus’ licence-free software, NoiseTools, in order to create in-depth reports.
As Quantum is accessed remotely, it’s well-suited for any organisation that requires constant noise monitoring, and its easy-to-use interface makes it incredibly easy to get to grips with.

“Quantum marks another step forward for us at Cirrus Research, as we continue to develop acoustic solutions that make people’s job of protecting their employees from hearing loss easier and more accessible,” said Engineering Director, Martin Williams. “Our sound level meter technology has been developed and perfected over the last 50 years, and now that it’s partnered with cloud connectivity, I really believe that the Quantum solution will change the way people monitor noise for the better.
“Although this type of solution isn’t new to the market, it is new to Cirrus Research, which is what stands it out from its competition,” he added. “When people choose Cirrus, they’re not just buying market-leading technology. They’re investing in the additional value that we offer, including an industry-leading 15-year warranty, a UK-based in-house team that’s always ready to provide help and assistance, and a comprehensive calibration service that’s unrivalled by many in our industry.”
The UK premiere of Quantum is taking place at this year’s Autosport International Engineering exhibition, which is held at Birmingham’s NEC between the 9th – 10th January. Visitors to the show will be able to find Cirrus Research and Quantum on stand E385.
