Bureau Veritas UK, the leading provider of testing, inspection and certification services, has been awarded two gold awards for the third year running in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
Recognising Bureau Veritas UK’s outstanding commitment to safety and health, RoSPA has awarded it the Gold Award for both Occupational Health and Safety and Managing Occupational Road Risk. The awards will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, in July.
Paul Barry, CEO of Bureau Veritas UK & Ireland, said: “To receive a double Gold Award for the third year running is a fantastic achievement and we are extremely proud to have been recognised in this way. Workplace safety is a ‘culture’ and this award is deserved recognition for every one of our employees, It confirms our continued commitment to providing the highest possible standards of safety in the workplace.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Bureau Veritas UK Ltd, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”
As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission to save lives and reduce injuries covers all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 59 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
